Retaining restricted free agent Cam Johnson is a priority for the Nets — and Johnson suggests he’s more than open to the idea of staying in Brooklyn. There are a number of reasons why Johnson’s fit on a Nets team likely re-tooling this summer makes sense. Chief among them: He is a valuable player at his position, one the Nets are grateful to have pried from the Phoenix Suns in the Kevin Durant megadeal at the Feb. 9 NBA Trade Deadline.Johnson averaged 16.6 points on 37.5% three-point shooting in his 25 regular-season games with the Nets. In four playoff games, he assumed a larger scoring responsibility and managed to increase his efficiency. When the 76ers trapped Mikal Bridges, Johnson became another focal point of Brooklyn’s offense. He averaged 18.5 points through the four-game series against the Sixers and shot at a 43% clip from downtown.“Cam knows how we feel,” Nets general manager Sean Marks said during his end-of-the-season exit interview w...Linus Ullmark will start Game 4, David Krejci out again

SUNRISE, Fla.–Though he teased that Jeremy Swayman could get the start for Sunday’s Game 4 on Saturday, Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said that Linus Ullmark would start his fourth straight game as the B’s try to take a 3-1 series stranglehold on the Florida Panthers. Also, Montgomery said that David Krejci will miss his second straight game and most likely will miss Wednesday’s Game 5 at the Garden. It is believed Krejci has some sort of arm injury. The B’s will go with the same lineup that they did in Friday’s 4-2 win in Game 3.On the decision to stick with Ullmark, Montgomery said, “I think Linus has played well and (goalie coach Bob Essensa) had his goalie union and they decided that’s what was best for the Boston Bruins. Like I’ve said, I have a lot of confidence in Goalie Bob. His feel for his goaltenders is outstanding and I never second-guess.”As for Krejci, even though there’s a two-day break between Games 4 and 5, Montgomer...Lizzo brings drag queens on stage, protesting Tennessee law

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — In a concert Friday night in Knoxville, Tennessee, Lizzo filled the stage with drag queens in a glittery protest against the state’s legislation designed to restrict drag performances in public. While performing at Thompson-Boling Arena, the Grammy-winning “Juice” singer brought out a number of drag performers, including Aquaria, Kandy Muse, Asia O’Hara and Vanessa Vanji. On Saturday, Lizzo posted videos on Instagram from the show, including comments to the crowd that referenced the pending law. In February, Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed the legislation against “adult cabaret” in public or in front of minors. A federal judge temporarily blocked the law in late March, saying it was too vaguely written. Civil rights groups have criticized the law as a violation of free speech. The Tennessee law is part of a wider Republican effort to restrict drag shows and other LGBTQ+ public gatherings. “In light of recent and tragic events and current events, I was t...$50M claim filed over fatal eviction shooting in Tucson

(NEXSTAR) - Residents living in more than a dozen U.S. states have the chance to see the northern lights Sunday thanks to recent activity on the Sun.A coronal mass ejection and a minor solar flare happened Friday night, according to NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center. In addition to sparking a geomagnetic storm watch through Monday, the solar activity means the northern lights will be visible as far south as Nebraska and Iowa. Coronal mass ejections, or CMEs, are explosions of plasma and magnetic material from the Sun that can reach Earth in as little as 15 to 18 hours, NOAA explains. Slower CMEs, like the one observed Friday, can take days to impact us. While both solar flares and CMEs (which can occur at the same time) can impact navigation, communication and radio signals on Earth, CMEs are able to create a stunning show in the night sky. According to NASA, CMEs can create currents in Earth's magnetic fields that send particles to the North and South Poles. The lawsuit stems from accusations that Facebook allowed users’ personal data to be shared with third parties, the most famous being Cambridge Analytica, a consulting firm that supported Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. The firm harvested the data of as many as 87 million Facebook users, the Associated Press reported. How big will my Facebook settlement payment be? Lawsuit questions answered "The lawsuit claimed that Facebook shared people's data with third parties and didn't monitor how that data was accessed and shared," the badge on Facebook continues.
