Woman assaulted, robbed while waiting for rideshare vehicle in Berkeley: police

(KRON) -- The Berkeley Police Department is investigating an incident in which the victim was allegedly robbed and stomped on by a pair of teenage girls in Berkeley, according to the Berkeley Police Department. There have been no arrests in the case. Police say the victim was waiting for a rideshare vehicle at the corner of Sacramento Street and Derby Street when the attack happened at about 5:15 p.m. Police told KRON4 that the attack was sudden, without warning. The victim had several injuries, including an eye swollen shut and lacerations to her face and body. (KRON) -- Police in Fairfield have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman in the neck, the Fairfield Police Department said Wednesday. The incident occurred on Monday at around 3:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of Travion Court, according to Fairfield PD.Officers responded to reports of a stabbing and arriving at the scene, found a woman suffering from a serious stab wound to the neck. The Investigations Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.Photo: Fairfield PDA suspect in the incident was identified as 33-year-old Timothy Fisher. He was last seen walking north on Union Avenue, shortly after the attack.
