Officers and personnel at the Bristol County House of Corrections are dealing with an “incident” at the facility that started after authorities attempted to move inmates to different housing units, according to officials. In an update provided by the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, officials said the incident occurred while staff were taking steps to make the facility “more suicide-resistant.”“Part of this process is moving inmates to different housing units,” an official with the sheriff’s office stated. “Friday morning, some inmates in one of the housing units did not want to move, leading to the current incident.”Details on the incident itself have been limited, with SKY7-HD spotting at least two dozen officers and staff monitoring a part of the jail from the outside. Some corrections personnel could be seen using a riot shield to approach a section of windows that appeared to be blocked from inside the facility.A 7NEWS source...Dolphins Q&A: Can Miami be comfortable with Austin Jackson as starting right tackle?

Here’s the latest installment of our Miami Dolphins Q&A, where South Florida Sun Sentinel writers David Furones and Chris Perkins answer questions from readers.Q: David, [General manager Chris] Grier can’t be serious putting that level of faith in Austin Jackson to label him the starting RT from this far out without bringing in starting caliber competition for camp. How concerning is this considering that is Tua’s blindside? — Alfonso S., via emailA: It was a bit surprising for Grier to flat-out deem Jackson the starting right tackle this week.It seemed to be going that way with the Dolphins not bringing in a competitor in the first wave of free agency, but one would think the team would at least make the 2020 first-round pick earn the spot in 2023 after a disappointing first three NFL seasons and 2022 campaign where he ended up on injured reserve in each of his two starts.“Yes, the expectation is Austin is the starter at right tackle,” Grier ...Bruins notebook: Patrice Bergeron did not travel to Florida, “likely” to play in Game 5

SUNRISE, Fla.–Patrice Bergeron did not travel with the Bruins here for Games 3 and 4 but, according to coach Jim Montgomery, the Bruins’ captain is “likely” to play in Game 5 when the series shifts back to Boston.Meanwhile, goalie Linus Ullmark did not participate in the morning skate at Florida Live Arena and Montgomery termed him a “game-time decision.” What Ullmark’s issue is was not clear. When asked if Ullmark was still feeling the effects of the lower body injury he suffered in the second to last game of the season against Washington when he had to pull himself out of the game in the third period, Montgomery said “I don’t believe so, no.”If Ullmark can’t go, that would mean Jeremy Swayman will get his first start of the playoffs. Brandon Bussi is here as the third goalie. This is the playoffs, of course, in which you must take anything a club says about an unavailable player with a jaundiced eye. When Bergeron left the game in Montreal, the club wa...Man shot by sheriff's deputies in North County

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — As Ukrainian and Russian troops fight conventional battles on the front lines, Europe’s first major war of the internet age has also sparked a war of technology as both sides vie for advantage with their drones and satellite communications. While the two sides have kept pace with one another thus far, Ukraine’s minister in charge of technology told The Associated Press in an interview Friday that he was confident his country had the motivation and abilities to out-innovate Russia in the end.Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, said unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), electronic warfare, satellite communications and other technologies had been a fundamental part of the war with Russia that began more than a year ago.“Technologies allow traditional and modern artillery to be more accurate, and they help save the lives of our soldiers,” he said. “When you have ‘eyes’ over you, you can make more effective decisions about managin...It’s Met Gala time again – here’s what we know so far

In addition, the windows could be made to turn opaque automatically, he was quoted as saying.A promotional video for the cable car project says it would go from the Heiligenstadt transit station across the Danube river and then back over to the Kahlenberg, a small mountain in the north of the capital. Some 115 gondolas with panoramic windows would offer a “breathtaking view across Vienna,” it says. The Associated PressTrudeau to travel to New York for next week’s star-studded Global Citizen summit
